How Do I Find My POP3 Mail Server?
Published
The POP3 server name depends on the email account and hosting service. In cPanel, open Email Accounts, select the account and choose Connect Devices. Copy the incoming POP3 hostname, port and security mode shown under SSL/TLS; see where to find email settings in cPanel or Webmail.
Use the hostname shown when the client verifies the TLS certificate. Connecting to a server IP or different alias can fail certificate-name checks. Do not turn off certificate validation to hide a mismatch. If your service does not provide cPanel, use the mail settings in its welcome details or contact support.
POP3 downloads incoming mail to a client and may not keep folders synchronized across devices. If you need synchronized folders, check whether IMAP is available for your service and configure its incoming server settings instead. Use the settings shown for your account rather than assuming one port or hostname fits every plan.
