Technology team reviewing a security and recovery plan

Cyber security & data recovery

Protect what matters. Know how to recover.

Practical security for the systems, people and data your organization depends on. We help you understand risk, strengthen everyday controls and plan a careful route back when something goes wrong.

Security with a clear purpose

A stronger foundation starts with knowing what you have.

Most teams rely on a mix of devices, cloud accounts, websites, networks and people. The first step is to see how those parts connect and where a single failure would hurt most.

We focus on changes your team can understand and maintain, then connect prevention with backup and response planning.

How we can help

Protection across the whole environment.

Choose a focused review or bring us a wider security challenge. The work is scoped after we understand your systems and priorities.

Security assessment

Understand the systems, accounts and data that matter most, then rank risks by likely impact and effort to fix.

  • Asset and access review
  • Configuration and exposure checks
  • Prioritized improvement plan

Identity & access

Make it harder for an account mistake or stolen password to become a wider problem.

  • MFA and account protection
  • Permissions and offboarding
  • Administrator access review

Devices & networks

Strengthen the everyday foundations your team uses to connect and work.

  • Patch and endpoint baselines
  • Wi-Fi and firewall review
  • Device and network segmentation

Websites & cloud

Review the configuration and maintenance practices around public services and hosted workloads.

  • Hosting and application settings
  • Update and certificate planning
  • Cloud access and backup review

Incident readiness

Agree on the first actions, owners and communication path before a security event interrupts operations.

  • Response roles and contacts
  • Containment and escalation steps
  • Recovery exercise planning

Backup & resilience

Plan copies of critical data and confirm that a restore can work when your team needs it.

  • Data and system inventory
  • Backup frequency and retention
  • Restore testing and recovery priorities

If something is happening now

Protect the recovery path first.

If you suspect ransomware, an account takeover or failing storage, stop normal use of affected systems and involve your IT lead. Avoid overwriting lost data or changing devices before the situation is assessed.

Data recovery

Find the safest route back to your data.

Recovery is different for every incident. A working backup may allow a controlled restore. A failed drive or overwritten file needs diagnosis before anyone can estimate what is recoverable.

Backup restorationReview the available copies, restore priority systems and check that the data is usable.
Device & file assessmentAssess lost or inaccessible data on laptops and storage media, then determine whether specialist recovery is needed.
Post-incident recoveryRestore only after containment and checks, reducing the chance of bringing a problem back with the data.

Diagnosis comes before a recovery promise.

A careful sequence

Assess. Preserve. Recover.

The next action depends on what happened and on the condition of the affected system.

  1. 01

    Assess

We review what was lost, the affected device or service, the likely cause and any available backups.

  2. 02

    Preserve

We help choose a safe next action. Where a device may be damaged or compromised, further use can reduce recovery options.

  3. 03

    Recover & verify

A suitable restore or specialist path is agreed after diagnosis. Recovered data is checked against what the team needs.

Our approach

Clear decisions, then useful action.

We agree on the scope, responsibilities and deliverables before making changes to your environment.

01

Understand your environment

Identify important services, users, devices, data and current controls.

02

Prioritize the gaps

Set out practical actions with owners, dependencies and sensible order.

03

Make the improvements

Scope configuration, backup, response or recovery work with your team.

04

Verify and hand over

Review the result, document responsibilities and agree on the next check-in.

Questions

Before you take the next step.

Explore backup planning
Can every lost file be recovered?

No. Recovery depends on the cause of loss, the condition of the device, whether data has been overwritten and the quality of available backups. We assess the situation before recommending a route.

What should we do if a device may be infected or failing?

Stop using the affected device, avoid installing recovery tools or writing new data to it, and contact the person responsible for your IT systems. If you suspect a wider incident, isolate affected systems where it is safe to do so and preserve relevant details.

Do you provide continuous monitoring or a guaranteed response time?

Those services and response arrangements are only included when explicitly agreed in an engagement. This page does not represent a live monitoring or emergency response subscription.

Is a backup the same as data recovery?

A working backup is often the most reliable route to restoration. Recovery from a damaged or overwritten device is a different diagnostic process and may require specialist equipment or referral.

How is cyber security work priced?

The scope depends on your systems, risks and the support you need. We begin with a conversation and agree on deliverables and cost before work starts.
