What is the difference between .ug and .co.ug?
.ug is the shorter national ending. .co.ug signals a commercial or company identity. Both are Uganda-focused; the best fit depends on your organization and the name you want.
Can a school or university use any Uganda extension?
The .ac.ug category is intended for higher education and .sc.ug for schools and lower learning institutions. A registry or registrar may request evidence of the institution before approval.
Can GICT register a .go.ug name for any customer?
.go.ug is intended for government bodies. GICT must verify the applicant’s authority and the registry’s current requirements before proceeding.
Is .med.ug available to register?
You can search .med.ug when the Uganda registry connection is enabled. Eligibility for medical institutions may still be reviewed by the registry before a registration is accepted.
Does buying a domain include a website or email?
A domain is an address. Website hosting, DNS management and business email are separate services unless a confirmed offer or accepted order includes them.
