Where Do I Find My InterServer Nameservers?
Published
Use the nameservers listed for your specific service. InterServer nameserver assignments can differ by hosting product, so do not copy a fixed nameserver or IP address from an older article.
For web hosting, sign in to the InterServer customer portal, open Web Hosting, select the gear for the service, and look for its Default DNS Servers. Enter those exact hostnames at the registrar only if you want that service to host the domain’s DNS. See InterServer’s nameserver guide.
Changing nameservers changes which DNS provider is authoritative. Before doing so, recreate needed website, mail and verification records at the new DNS provider. To keep DNS hosted elsewhere, leave the registrar delegation in place and update records at the current authoritative provider.
Custom nameservers for a VPS or dedicated server require a working DNS service, matching zone configuration and registrar glue records. They are not created by adding a nameserver line to an ordinary website zone. Ask support to confirm the service-specific setup if the portal does not show the values you expect.
