Set and Verify Scoped Webuzo Redirects

Published

Webuzo/Breadbasket

Webuzo Redirects can send a hosted domain or path to another URL. An HTTP redirect changes where the browser goes; it does not move files, configure email or register the destination. Choose its scope and status intentionally.

Create a scoped redirect

  1. Open verified HTTPS Webuzo and Domain > Redirects where supported.
  2. Select only the intended source domain. Enter the source path for a narrower directory/page, or the documented empty-path value for the whole domain.
  3. Choose the offered temporary or permanent type according to the actual move. Permanent is not automatically the right choice for testing.
  4. Enter the full intended destination URL, including its scheme, and inspect it for typos or unintended external hosts.
  5. Save/Add Redirect, then inspect the saved rule and actual HTTP response.

Test before relying on it

Check the exact source, a sibling that should not match, nested paths, query strings and the destination. Do not assume path/query preservation without inspecting the observed Location header. Confirm no loop or unnecessary chain, including any application, CDN or HTTPS rules already active.

For an HTTPS source, its certificate must validate before the browser follows the redirect. A redirect also does not ensure form/API methods and bodies behave as intended; test affected workflows separately. Use a temporary rule during controlled validation where appropriate because permanent responses can remain cached.

Change or remove the intended rule

Preserve the prior redirect configuration, locate the exact entry and use the installed edit/delete action. Verify afterward; removing a server rule does not immediately erase client caches. Keep unrelated domains and routes untouched.

Webuzo is not universally a single-user product with every listed application preinstalled. Menu and feature availability depend on the actual version/plan. This guide does not promise ranking improvements or guaranteed search exclusion for temporary destinations.
