Add a Website Domain to the Correct Plesk Subscription
Published
Plesk can add another hosted domain when the subscription and your permissions allow it. That creates hosting configuration under the selected subscription; it does not buy the domain, copy another site’s data or guarantee a publicly trusted certificate.
Prepare the subscription and name
Confirm ownership or authorization, allowed domain count and shared resource limits. Decide whether you need an independent website, an alias to an existing website or forwarding. Preserve any existing domain data and DNS settings before replacing a configuration.
Add the intended website
- Sign in to verified HTTPS Plesk and select the correct customer/subscription.
- Open Websites & Domains > Add Domain. Administrative views may also start from Domains.
- Enter the registered domain name and review the subscription, hosting type, document root and any account-specific fields.
- Select website hosting for separate content. Review DNS and mail choices instead of assuming Plesk hosts both publicly.
- Submit and inspect the saved domain, directory and configuration.
Handle certificate requests as requests
A Let’s Encrypt or SSL It! option depends on installed extensions and provider settings. It requests issuance; domain-control validation, DNS/reachability and authority limits can still prevent completion. Confirm the actual installed certificate, covered names and renewal path before forcing HTTPS. Do not bypass browser certificate warnings because domain creation succeeded.
Verify the site and other services
Publish the intended DNS at the authoritative provider, deploy the right content and test the exact HTTPS hostname. Check mail separately if it is part of the design. Domains on one subscription share its resources; a new domain is not a separate server isolation boundary. Use a support ticket when permissions or subscription limits prevent the task.
