Create, Access and Delete Webuzo Email Accounts Safely
Published
Webuzo can manage email accounts where its mail service is configured and the feature is enabled. Older InterServer guides used the name Bread Basket. The historical interface and one-click package claims do not establish what is available or supported on your current installation.
Create an email account
- Open the verified HTTPS Webuzo end-user service and select Email > Email Account. Legacy Bread Basket placed this under Email Server > Email Account.
- Choose a domain assigned to the account and enter the intended local address. Check for an existing mailbox or conflicting route before creating another entry.
- Set a strong unique mailbox password and review storage and other offered limits. Do not reuse a panel password or use the old sample password “password.”
- Choose Create Account, then inspect the exact saved address and its settings.
- Use the installation’s actual Webmail/client configuration and verify authorized incoming and outgoing delivery separately.
A domain existing in the panel does not automatically mean its public MX records deliver here. Mailbox counts, storage and service availability depend on the configured account; do not rely on the old claim of freely creating an unlimited number of accounts.
Read mail and change a password
Use the mailbox’s mail-access or compose action where provided, or obtain the verified HTTPS Webmail address. Obtain the actual IMAP/POP and authenticated SMTP settings instead of guessing a domain hostname. A password change may require updates to all authorized clients. Do not install another mail server or restart shared services simply because one account cannot log in.
Delete deliberately, not as a troubleshooting shortcut
Before deleting, preserve required messages, folders, contacts and settings outside the mailbox and verify the copy. Identify any applications, aliases or responders that depend on the address. Select the exact mailbox’s delete action, confirm the address and understand the installed panel’s deletion warning before proceeding.
Do not assume the operation is reversible or that a new account with the same address recovers the old mail. Removing a mailbox also does not necessarily remove separate forwarding rules. Check the resulting list and intended future routing after a planned deletion.
