Add, Edit or Delete a Webuzo Cron Job Safely
Published
Webuzo can schedule commands for the signed-in account through Cron Job management. This guide also incorporates the older Bread Basket Delete Cron Job page, preserving both creation and removal without two fragmented procedures.
Add a deliberate schedule
- Open the trusted panel and locate Server Utilities > Cron Job in current Webuzo, or the historical Server Settings > Cron Job menu in older Bread Basket/Webuzo versions.
- Choose Add Cron Job, select the intended Minute, Hour, Day, Month and Weekday values, and review any schedule preview available in that release.
- Enter the application command using verified paths and the supported interpreter. The command runs with the account’s permitted access, not automatic server-administrator privileges.
- Save and inspect the schedule and command together.
Typical numeric fields are minute 0-59, hour 0-23, day 1-31 and month 1-12. Weekday conventions, names and special syntax depend on the installed scheduler and panel validation; consult that version rather than assuming every parser accepts the same values. Confirm timezone and behavior when both day fields are restricted.
Verify execution and output
A success message confirms that an entry was saved, not that its future task works. Check environment, working directory, executable access and application configuration, then observe a scheduled result safely. Avoid overlapping long-running work and duplicate schedules. Keep credentials outside command arguments and output; use protected logs and monitored notifications where available.
Edit or delete the exact entry
Record the current command and schedule first. Use the corresponding edit action for a correction. To remove a job, use its delete icon and confirm; current Webuzo may also offer selection of multiple rows and Delete Selected. Inspect every selected task before a bulk action.
Removing the schedule does not necessarily stop an already running process, delete its script or reverse its effects. Check the application dependency and any alternate scheduler before concluding it is no longer invoked.
