How to Create an Image Gallery in WordPress
Published
Images are an essential element of almost any blog or website, and your WordPress site is likely no exception. The WordPress platform comes with a built-in image gallery and media manager feature which allows you to add as many images as you want to any post or page. Using a plugin such as Gallery, you can also display images from your media library in any of the supported widget areas of your chosen theme. This guide takes a look at how the image gallery works and how to upload, customize and use images.
- In your administrator dashboard, click on “Media” in the sidebar. The contents of your media library will appear on this page. To add new content, click on “Add New” and simply drag and drop the images you want to place in the library from your computer into the area provided. Alternatively, click “Select Files” to browse the contents of your computer. Using this method, you can also add multiple files from the same folder simultaneously.
