Adding Store Information in Magento

Magento is a popular and powerful eCommerce software that powers millions of eCommerce stores on the internet. It is open-source software. It means that you can modify it based on your requirements to create your personal store. You can use a huge repository of extensions and themes to modify your store according to your plans and requirements.

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to add store information in Magento after the Magento installation. Magento has an easy to use interface that allows us to perform some important tasks very quickly with less technical knowledge. To make this process easier, I have attached a screenshot after every step. So, Let’s get started with the tutorial.

Update Store Information in Magento

First of all, Log in to the admin panel of your Magento store. Now, hover over the System option given in the main navigation bar of the admin panel. You will see a drop-down menu. The location of the System option is as follows. From the drop-down menu, click on the Configuration option.

 

In the Configuration section, click on the General -> General option given in the left sidebar of the section. Refer to the following image to find General option.

On this page, you will find options like Countries Options, States Options, Locale options, and Store Information. Click on the Store information to expand the section.

Now, You will see a form containing fields like Store name, Store Contact number, Store hours of operation, Country, VAT Number and Store Contact address. Enter the information as per your location and choice. The form will look like the following.

After entering all the required information, click on the Save Config button given at the top-right corner of the section, just like the following image.

Clicking on the Save config button will update the configuration instantly. Magento will start displaying the new information on the store.
