How to Optimize Database Tables in SMF
Published
SMF uses MySQL to manage the database. And it is important to optimize the database tables by repairing tables and removing unwanted data as well as verifying the database schema. If your SMF forum is small and does not have too much traffic, you don’t have to perform this action regularly. But when the database grows, you have to make sure that your database is as optimized as it can.
It is because a little bit of extra unwanted data will add up milliseconds in the response time as your server has to look through the data that does not matter. Luckily, If you are using SMF, you can optimize your whole database with a single click.
In this tutorial, I will show you How to optimize the database directly from the admin panel of SMF. So, Let’s get started.
