Manage Membergroups in SMF
Published
SMF stands for Simple Machines Forum. Just like we use WordPress to create blogs and business websites, we can use SMF to create an online forum. A forum is a kind of website in which people can register and talk about a specific topic in the form of threads and comments. Unlike chat rooms, the replies and comments in forums are not very frequent but they are detailed and meaningful.
In Forums, we have to manage members with the help of Member groups. So, what are the Member groups? As the name says, a Member group consists of a specific type of member. For example, when a discussion thread is marked for a Special member group, only members of the Special member group can access and reply to the thread. Similarly, there are member groups of Moderators and members having a specific number of replies or posts.
