The foreign exchange brokers use the server components of the software, and the customers of these brokers use the client components. These customers use these client components of the MetaTrader software to view the live streaming price chart, to manage their trading account, and to place trade orders. These customers can access the library, help, and articles of this software by using the built-in compiler and editor. The MetaTrader software uses the MQL4/MQL5 scripting language to help the traders to develop Expert Advisors, scripts, and custom indicators.

Steps to Install Forex Trading Application MT4/5 on Windows VPS
The steps to install the MetaTrader 4/5 software that helps in forex trading on Windows VPS server, follow the below steps:
1) Log in to the Windows server as an administrator via RDP. To know how to connect to your Windows server via RDP, refer to the link: https://www.interserver.net/tips/kb/remote-desktop-windows/.

2) Open any of the browsers in your Windows server. In this knowledge base, we are using Google Chrome as the recommended web browser.
3) Browser MetaTrader 4/5 download in the browser and open the official MetaTrader website.
4) Then, click the Download MetaTrader button to start the download of the MetaTrader software.
5) After the download, open the MT4/5 installation file from the browser downloads.
6) Then, check if the publisher details in the security warning window are MetaQuotes Software Corp. to verify the downloaded file.
7) After that, click the ‘Run’ button to start the installation process.
8) Read the license agreement and policy and then check the box next to the ‘Yes, I agree’ option.
9) After that, click the ‘Settings’ button.
10) Now, you can edit the installation folder path, and also you can set the ‘Program group’ if you want to display the shortcuts of the folder inside your servers Start menu.
11) After setting the path and Program group, click the ‘Next’ button.
12) Now, the installation process of the latest stable version of MetaTrader 4/5 gets started. This process takes some time to complete.
13) After the installation, click the ‘Finish’ button
14) Open the MT4/5 software.
14) To sign up for a new MetaTrader account, follow the below steps:
14.1) Click the ‘File’ option from the top menu bar.
14.2) Select the ‘Open an Account’ option.
14.3) Enter the details to sign up.
15) To sign in to an existing MetaTrader account, follow the below steps:
15.1) Click the ‘File’ option from the top menu bar.
15.2) Select the ‘Login to Trade Account’ option.
15.3) Enter the login name and password in the respective tab.
15.4) Then, select the server name from the drop-down.
15.5) After that, click the ‘Ok’ button to login as an existing user.
16) After this, you can access the forex MT4 trading platform from your Windows VPS system 24 hours daily.
