Display Out of Stock Products in Magento

Magento is a powerful E-commerce management system. It allows you to manage the whole E-commerce store from one admin panel. If you are a Magento user, You might know that by default, Magento will not display the products that is out of stock. But, You might want to display even the out-of-stock products in your store.

In this tutorial, I will show you How to display the unavailable products in your store. It is a very easy process and it is good to display sold out products so that your customers can wait until the product is back in stock. So, Let’s get started with the tutorial.

Display Out of Stock Products in Magento

To display Out of Stock products, Log in to the admin panel of your store. Then, click on the Store -> [Settings] -> Configuration option. See the following screenshot for reference.

On this page, you will see a left sidebar and multiple collapsible containing a form to update specific settings. From the left sidebar, expand the Catalog section and click on the Inventory option, just like the following image.

On this page, you will see multiple collapsed sections. Expand the Stock Options section to see a list of drop-down menus for multiple settings. Find Display out of stock products option from the form. Then, click on the “use system value” to untick it. Once you untick that option, the drop-down menu will be enabled.

From the drop-down menu, select the Yes option. Finally, click on the Save Config button given on the top-right corner of the page, Just like the following image.

That’s all. Now, Magento will also display sold out products in the catalog while the visitors are surfing your E-commerce store. This is how you can display out-of-stock products in Magento.
